Video Blog: Vintage Office Themed Sleaze Paperbacks 2

In this video, I present vintage office themed sleaze paperbacks from the 1960's.  These evocative cover illustrations look like they could be scenes painted from the TV Show "Mad Men."  I did one previously on this same topic but this video features different books.

Video Blog: Novel Books

This video discusses the early 1960s Chicago based publisher "Novel Books."  Novel Books produced some very strange and interesting vintage sleaze books, and this video presents a few of them.  I've always thought Novel Books was one of the under-appreciated presses.  Their titles were fascinatingly strange, over-the-top, and pumped up macho.

Video Blog: Computer Swap by Sam Scar

A third video blog! This video discusses a vintage sleaze paperback with a swinger theme.  Published by Greenleaf in the late 1960's, this title was science fiction then but not so far-fetched today.

Video Blog: Vintage Gay Sleaze Pulp Paperbacks

Another video blog! In this one, I discuss 1960's era vintage pulp paperbacks featuring gay sex themes. These sexy vintage paperbacks are referred to by collectors as "sleaze" paperbacks.  These particular ones are gay-themed and are some of the only homosexual artifacts from this time period.

Video Blog: The Sleaze Paperback Covers of Bill Edwards

So, I am trying something new...video blogging!  I think it's a great way to get information to interested in parties in a more personable fashion.  The video below is features vintage sleaze paperbacks with cover artworks by Bill Edwards.  Edwards was a movie actor, rodeo star, and Western illustrator who also painted 100+ cover paintings for vintage sleaze books in the 1960's. His work is notable in the genre.  If you'd like to subscribe to my YouTube Channel, it can be found under the name culturerash.

"Lord of Lust" or "Lord of Constipation"?

This is a great Robert Bonfils illustration.  I love the covers he did, like this one, that depicted large groups of people.  The characters are always so colorful and expressive.  The scenes are always energetic and fun.  But what cracks me up about this one is the gal in blue, the one whose face makeup looks like an "Avatar" character.

I can't decide...is she sad and disgruntled that she isn't getting more attention from the group?  Or is she just really, really constipated?

Alright.  You be the judge.  All I can say about her at this point is...whadda face!
